The Tradition Cow Poem
The Tradition Cow Poem
I wish I knew who wrote this, but I couldn't find it. I just thought it was so great I had to share it in honor of April being National Poetry Month.
Some folks just don't get it.
They think owning cattle makes no sense.
It takes too much time, too much equipment,
Not to mention the expense.
But the fondest memories of my life
-they might think sound funny-
Were made possible by Mom and Dad
Cause' they spend the time, and spent the money.
You see, the most important lessons
Helping values grow strong,
Come from loving cattle
And passing that tradition along.
